We are looking for silent auction items for Thompson Orchard’s famous Halloween Parade + Party. This is our biggest event and fundraiser of the year and while it may feel early, preliminary organization for the event is already underway.
We are also looking for community members to join the Halloween committee.

Community Environment Day
When: Sunday, May 21st from 10 am – 2 pm
Where: Fairfield Seniors Centre and Park
You’re invited! Ward 3 Councillor Amber Morley is hosting a Community Environment Day where you can:
- Pick up one (1) free bag of leaf compost
- Dispose of household hazardous waste
- Dispose of old electronics
- Drop off clothing, textiles, or household items for donation
- Purchase a new green bin, kitchen catcher, or rain barrel

Wednesdays, 6–8pm, Humber Bay Butterfly Habitat
The City’s Community Stewardship Program is offering an opportunity to learn about Toronto’s ravines and how they’re managed with hands-on activities to keep these places healthy.
Volunteers, led by experienced City staff, meet weekly, on Wednesdays, from spring to fall to plant native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers, remove invasive species, and monitor site conditions through citizen science.
