Feb 3: Winter Mixer @ The Bull
Chase away those winter blues and come mingle with your neighbours! Thompson Orchard Community Association is hosting a Winter Community Mixer at The Bull on Bloor, in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank, as well as the Etobicoke Humane Society.
This event is being sponsored by GRILLIES ETOBICOKE! New to our neighbourhood at 3075 Bloor West just last October, Grillies prides itself in making everything fresh: beans are cooked and not canned, meat is seasoned in-house, and pulled meat is slow-cooked for 18 hours. They also offer fresh smoothies and shakes. This is casual dining, but not “fast-food”!

TOCA will be accepting donations on behalf of the Daily Bread Food Bank, as well as the Etobicoke Humane Society. For specific items in need, see the following lists:

Spring Creek Clean Up
Save the date! The 2024 TOCA Mimico Creek Clean Up will be held on Sunday May 5, beginning at 10:00 AM. Come out to one of the community’s longest-held traditions, and keep our neighbourhood clean & green! All are welcome!
Coffee and refreshments will be provided to fuel our volunteers!
We will meet at the east entrance of the Van Dusen bridge. Appropriate bags will be supplied by TOCA. Please bring gloves and waterproof footwear.
Attention high school students/parents: participation in the Creek Clean Up can contribute to your required volunteer hours! Please bring in your forms, and your friends too!
Bloor Complete Street Project Update
Our local council office has announced a town hall and additional information sessions scheduled for 2024, relating to the Bloor Complete Street Project:
